About The Artist
About Patrizia
Patrizia Viselli holds a BFA, majoring art education, from Concordia
University in Canada. Early on, she realized art making was going to be
something she could always rely upon. The artist believes that seeking
comfort in painting and drawing as well as releasing complex emotions is
liberating. Acrylic and colored pencils are her preferred mediums.
Achieving depth, transparency, and luminosity, throughout multiple thin
layers of color is her main concern. Working with color in this manner
has led her to recognize that such art concepts have become symbols of
truth on her path to enlightenment.
During the past twenty years, the artist has shared her
passion for art via painting, drawing, writing, and teaching. In fact,
she has taught in a variety of settings. Some of these include
elementary schools, art institutes, recreational centers, at-risk youth
organizations, senior residences, hospitals, and her home studio.
Throughout her experiences, Patrizia witnessed how art transformed
people's lives, which was the most cherished aspect of her journey. Her
images and words are intended to lead individuals towards
self-discovery. Learn more about her mandala making book and pdf
